Often called “Korean Thanksgiving,” Chuseok is one of the most important traditional holidays in Korea. It is a time for families to come together, celebrate the autumn harvest, remember their ancestors, enjoy traditional food, and spend time with relatives. In 2026, Chuseok Day falls on Friday, September 25 , the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. The official Chuseok holiday is September 24–26, while the nationwide holiday period extends through Sunday, September 27.
